The Gilded Age Orchestra of Newport
The mission of the Gilded Age Orchestra of Newport is to preserve and perform the music of the Gilded Age and explore the musical history of Newport. It is dedicated to improving the cultural vitality of the community and furthering the public’s understanding of this music through high quality, historically informed performances and educational programming.

History of the Orchestra
The orchestra was founded in 2022 by Dr. Christopher Brellochs, Mr. Anthony De Luca, and Dr. Mark Stickney. Mr. De Luca was the Newport location orchestra manager for Season One of HBO’s Emmy Award-winning series The Gilded Age and performs on screen. Dr. Brellochs portrayed composer/conductor John Knowles Paine in Season One and assisted the production team with the historical accuracy of the scene. Dr. Stickney is the founder of Historic Music of Newport and co-founder of the orchestra.
